I am sending out this blog to everyone on our waiting list right now that have been patiently waiting for our puppies to be born. We do have a couple females that we are hoping are pregnant but wont know for another couple weeks. Our breeding program is a bit behind this summer to say the least and although we are having staff meetings (talks with the dogs) each morning we are completely not in control of them coming into heat or if they take in their pregnancies. As I am sure many of you can appreciate our breeding program at KCK is as natural as we can make it so much is left up to Mother Nature.
We are hoping to have several puppies for fall (born) and ready to go 8 weeks after that, again we are very sorry for the delay but can absolutely guarantee it will be worth the wait. Thank you for your patience and commitment to getting your puppy from a reputable breeder.
As I am sure most of you have heard, we are closing the kennel Summer of 2017. This will in no way affect those on the waiting list or those that have puppies from us, so please no one panic. Anyone that has met Phil or I or our team know that you are a member of the family now and we want everyone to stay in touch and in contact for many years to come.
Phil and I were faced with a bit of a health situation this past winter that has made us revaluate our situation and will need to be doing some traveling in the future and that is virtually impossible with the business as it is 24/7. Lots of thought went into selling the business or passing it on to someone else, but at the end of the day the kennel is our baby, and the reputation and standard that we have set is because it is us that run it. So it is with a great deal of sadness that I am writing this to you all to make it official.
We are absolutely going to facilitate those on the waiting list and the guarantees of the puppies we are having and have had, but we will not be breeding anymore as of summer 2017 (or however long it takes to cover those on our waiting list at this time).
Phil and I as well as the rest of the staff at KCK would like to send out a HUGE thank you to all of you who have made one of our puppies part of your life. We are so happy that what we do has in some way made your lives better and fuller than they already are with one of our fur babies. We expect you to visit still, send us updates and stay in touch!
Our Pooch of the Month Calendars will still be issued into 2018, and the proceeds will still be going to a pet rescue of choice at the end of each year. Thank you all who have been a part of that as well. This is not Goodbye by any means.
Phil and Mary-Lyn Moore

Winner of March's Pooch of the Month Contest - OSCAR
I am so sorry for the delay in this announcement we had a communication error. I would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to OSCAR the Cockapoo smile emoticon Way to go!
From Oscars Family -
Oscar Mickey captured our hearts from the beginning....so gentle, soft, sweet, and highly intelligent. O.M. looks like a little bear... so I call him “puppy bear” as a term of endearment. He loves chewing on bones, adores playing with squeaky toys. I love my “Cockapoos” – lots of fun . They are passionate with all ages... especially my Dad who is 89.
Well I believe it has finally happend, spring is here! Yaye! I know we are happy and excited as are the pooches. They have been enjoying play time in the common area as well as a few spa days with having baths, hair cuts and manicures and pedicures being done. I however have been over a year since my last spa visit lol... who is a priority around here?
Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and getting excited for those of you on our waiting list for spring litters :) We have some mommas pregnant and they are looking good and ready to have their babies in the next couple weeks.
I am two weeks into getting up every two hours to check on them to make sure all goes smooth in their deliveries and they are all still snuggled into their nesting boxes but soon there will be cries of new born babies. I however am not getting my beauty rest lol
Well spring is in the air around Kawartha Country Kennel (Hopefully), and with that we are eager to get everything cleaned up and ready for another busy season. Sarah has taken on more responsibility with the kennel as our kennel "Manager" and the doggies just love her!
There are some changes in the future but I will keep you posted as this progress and will know more concrete answers in July. For now we are gearing up with litters on their way for spring and getting those of you on our waiting list looked after :)
Looking forward to all the visits that the warmer weather brings and also looking forward to cutting the grass and getting and my flower beds! The dogs have been out for their regular exercises and loving the warmer weather, lets just hope that hit holds on!
Mary-Lyn and the KCK Team!
