Cockapoo - Sawyer
Dear Mary-Lyn 01/24/12 It seems a lot of time has passed since our last update - Sawyer has been keeping us pretty busy! Hope you & your family had a nice holiday season. We had aa great time & Sawyer really got into the spirit of receiving Christmas gifts!! Sawyer will be 4 months old on Saturday. He has been a wonderful, amazing little puppy- well not so little anymore- he weighs about 1 lbs now! He just finished his 3rd set of shotss about 10 days ago & so now has carte blanche to go wherever he pleases in our neighbourhood & can maje many more doggy friends. We took him to our neighbourhood off-leash dog park for the first time this past weekend & he had a blast! He made particularly good freinds with a 7 -month old Aussi-Poo & the two of them just racced around, chasing & playing for about an hour. When we ran into the same family the next day, we compared notes & both puppies slept extremely well the night after their romping around. :) Sawyer seems to be a very healthy little boy. He eats well & is doing very well with his toilet-training; in fact, he seems to be doing much better than some older puppies in our condo complex. He LOVES his toys & we have to keep a steady rotation going in order to keep his need for novelty up. He has a favorite monkey toy that he enjoys racing around the condo with. He is a big chewer & we are working hard on his training to try & help him overcome this & also save our furniture! :) Now that he has all of his shots, we are looking into starting him in puppy school very soon. He is also able to go for longer & longer walks so hopefully with more excercise he will settle down some more. The best thing about Sawyer is his personality. He is very sunny & exuberant. We love him to hits & he seems very happy. He absolutely loves meeting people & their dogs too! There is a fellow who lives in our building who loves Sawyer so much, he takes a picture of him on his iPhone practically everytime we see him around!. :)He loves all of the staff who work around our building & has already figured out where the doormen keep the puppy treats in their desk! Its so great to see him experience new people & bring a smile to other peoples faces. We think he is a great puppy & he will grow into being our awesome dog. Take care - G, N & Sawyer
Most recent update Dear ML We thought it was about time for another Sawyer update & a few pictures - our not-so-little guy is now about 6 & 1/2 months old and weighs around 23 lbs! :)) Sawyer has been doing fantastic - we have really bonded as a family & it is hard to remember what things were like before he came to us. He sailed through his neutering surgery with no problems; he did manage to get one of his stitches out the day after so his incision was superglued & he was given a slightley bigger cone. He was so funny weaaring his cone for 10 days, it was like he kept forgetting he had it on & would walk into the same corners & edges all the tie. We were all relieved when the day came to take the cone off. He has really grown into an urban puppy - he is learning to walk better on the leash, is a bit of a Houdini with the Halti at times but he is so unflappable when it comes to the city & traffic noises and is so friendly with both other people & their dogs. He has alreaddy been on many adverntures around the city - has been furniture shopping with us, waits patiently outside of Starbucks & has ridden on both the subway and streetcar. He has a keen interest in new experiences and is so adaptable and reilient. I work outside of home but "G" mostly is able to work from home so Sawyer has plenty of company during the day & he enjoys a long walk in the mornings and the highlight of his day is his time playing off-leash in the dog park nearby. He has graduated to the bigger yard & loves to play with the dogs of all sizes; the other day, he took on a Saint Bernard for a wrestle! He has a group of younng puppy friends that he sees & plays with most days, including a shepherd-poodle mix and a husky. It is really entertaining to watch them all playing, wrestling & racing around in a little pack. As I've said before, the absolute bests part about Sawyer is hiss personality - he is smart, sunny little guy with just the right amount of mischieviousness. He has all of our condo's concierges as adoring fans & even tonight, was laying on his back in the front lobby while 2 of them were giving him a massage & paw-rubs! He is very loving & affectionate; kives ti guve jusses & cuddles with us on the couch in the mornings when we read the papers & in the evenings when we watch TV. He shows his mischievious side when he tries to sip our lattes ( as if he needs any caffeine - he is so energetic! ) & most recently, has started steaaling socks from the bedroom when he thinks we are not looking - it makes us laugh to watch him because his whole body language changes when he thinks he is getting away with something. :)) So, we just wanted to send you some Sawyer news & thank you always for breeding a puppy that is a beloved member of our family; we are so happy with him & love being a pack of 3! Sending you best wishes for a happy Spring! Cheers N, G & Sawyer |

Cockapoo - Leo
Hi Well its been over 1 week since we brought Mr Leo home and I must say, he has brought so many laughs and love to our family. He's doing extremely well. He goes to bed in his crate no problem, he's doing very well on the training side! He's starting to ring the bells... Here is a picture I took today. He doesn't like to sit long, loves to chase balls and chew... chew.... chew..lol Take care Dianna & family January 23rd, 2012 (update) Hi Marilyn & Family Hoping things are well with your and your family. This Weds our Leo turns 6 months old, so I thought I would send you an updated picture. He's such a joy to our family, loves the snow, car rides , loves pestering the family cat ( which is a love-hate relationship ) Leo is now 25.6 lbs, yup he's still growing. He obviously going to take after his mom, He went to puppy school and loves all the other dogs and he passed with flying colors. He also continues to love his crate, and now knows it's bedtime at 8:30pm...when he goes outside for the last trip of the evening where he takes as long as possible to do his duty, so he doesn't have to go to bed! ( like my kids ) He has been neutered and all went well! I dont't think he liked the cone hat , as he chewed it off after the 5th day. Oh, wanted to elaborate on car rides ~ when we can't take him, we have to sneak out, as he wines to go as soon as he hears the keys jingle, its so funny how good his hearing is... and bath time - he also walks right into our shower for his baths... he lolves showers...he's quite funny! We cant leave the shower door open, as he at times, walked right in..... Until next time, |

Schnoodle - Daisy Hi Mary-Lyn !!! Our sweet little Daisy is now five months old and such 11 lbs, she's a lean little machine that can out run any dog of any size at the off leash park. Very social! Every child on our street has adopted Daisy as their own, and when the school bus passes each afternoon you can hear the school children calling after her. She is amazed by this!!! We have accomplished our first 10 week session of obedience where she learned ( effortlessly I might add ) twelve commands. We will return in the fall for a session two. We have had a busy spring which has required a lot of travel. She has made many car rides well over 5 hours in lengh without so much as a peep, and is a respectful hotel guest as well. I couldn't be more pleased! I have never employed a crate with previous family pets, but I can't tell you how much I appreciate your initializing us to this concept. She is a willing participant, and never makes a squeak about her little house and is more than content there, whether home or away. All this to say.... we really love our Daisy, and thought you might like a little update. Hope things are going equally well for you. Hugs for Brodie and Mia from our Daisy! Puppy Wishes!!!! He has stayed all black except for a small patch on his lower chest and a bit of white hair through his coat. He has the schnoodle determination, and does not like to be scolded. He is also a smiler, loves other dogs and people. He loves to play and teass our other dog. We could not have asked for a better boy. Here is a recent picture so you can see how cute he is. Shichon - Phoebe
Hi Mary-Lyn:
It has been a year ago this week end that we picked up our puppy Phoebe. She has become a real joy. Her temperment is so good that little kids across the street and in the neighbourhopod come up to our door and ask if Phoebe can come out to play.
She has also become very therapeutic for our next door neighbour whose wife has Alzheimer's. Chris and I are at their home regularly and our neighbour's wife can focus on Phoebe for small intervals but on little else. It is marvelous to see.
Phoebe has tons of personality and is full of P and V, usually in the evenings. She loves deep snow and digging in the garden. This has been a hot summer and we take her in the swimming pool regularly. She doesn't like it very much but she is not afraid of it either.
We have found as lovely woman who will stay at our home and take care of Phoebe and our home when we are away. This is working very well.
We enrolled ourselves in a dog obedience course last winter, quite expensive I might add, (I don't think you enrole your dog but yourself!) but we failed. It was all about how to walk a dog properly etc. We wanted the trainer to teach us how to get her from jumping up on people who come to the door. This was not part of the program. We have solved this ourselves by saying "go to the stairs" which she does immediatly and gives our guests a high five.
We have a perfect little dog who is our joy and who is known throughout our neighbourhood as a very sweet and beautiful little creature.
I have attached a few pictures. One of her last winter, one with a little girl who is a neighbour of ours, one with the neighbour who has Azheimer's, one with Chris and Phoebe in the pool, and one on the window ledge in our living room where she sits and watches the activity on the street.
This little pup has changed our lives.
Kindest regards
John and Chris MacKay

Shichon - Daisy
Hi Mary-Lyn
Well Daisy is a joy. She has a huge personality and loves everyone. She settled within a couple of days of arriving at her new home. Nights were never a problem. House training has taken a bit longer but we are getting there. She chews continuously, toys, fingers and we have had a couple of minor mishaps with base-board and a chair leg but nothing that can't be put right. She understands a lot. You can tell her to fetch her ball and she will go off and find it. She always has a 'mad-hour' at 8:00 p.m. and if you don't play ball with her and tire her that hour can become two hours. She loves to play for as long as possible. Everyone adores her because she is so cute. She now weighs about 7 pounds. We took her down to Maryland for US Thanksgiving and she had a great time with our cousins dog. In fact they were inseparable (see pic).
Have a wonderful Christmas and we will keep in touch
Best wishes
Lynda, Mike & Daisy

Shichon/Shih-Bi - Molly
Hi Mary-Lyn, I can't believe how long I've been intending to send this along.... but life just got in the way. My sweet little Molly is 11 months old! I am including a picture of her with one of the figts she received at Christmas, and after a recent haircut. I absolutely adore her and can't imagine life without my comic little ball of fur. She's a smart puppy (though with a stubborn streak to match mine) and quite the character. This being her first spring she has definitely got the fever - does NOT want to come inside these days. So lots of her time s spent exploring the lawn, the nearby woods, watching birds, chasing the squirrels :+) and playing with my many nieces and nephew. She's a great dog with the kids and they too love her. Thanks again for this particular match! Smiles and Chuckles, Tina :+) ( and Molly ) |

Shichon - Abby
Hi Mary-Lyn,
After graduating from her second obedience class Abby continues to be the most affectioate, intelligent puppy we've ever had. She's playful & friendly with all the dogs she meets on her walks. Your crate training advice was very helpful and we now have a puppy that travels without any problems.
Abby has been a wonderful addition to our home & the grandchildren adore her. She can't wait to see them each day and they are constantly involved in her training.
When people inquire about Abby we don't hesitat to recommend your kennel.
The happy trio - Dave, Dianne and Abby
January 5,2012 ( update ) Hi Mary-Lyn Abby says hello. She continues to be the love of our lives. Abby loves the snow and plays outdoors for hours. This picture was taken just after playing outside, She has bundles of energy and enjoys her walks to school with our grand kids. Thank you again for such an amazing puppy. Dave, Dianne & Abby |

Shichon - Toby
Hello, Mary-Lyn,
Thank you for treating my friend Sharon so well. I've seen pictures of Darcey and he's adorable. HER girls are really thrilled with him as is she. Toby is all grown up now, almost totally white except for his ears. He is the sweetest dog in the world. Hugh absolutely loves him and so do I. Toby knows EVERYTHING we say to him and is ahead of us half the time. He is robust, still very active and such a good boy in the condo. He rarely barks unless he and Hugh are seriously playing. He STILL gets carsick butu not so much as before. We have actually made it to the baseball park and back a few times now as long as his head is out the window. Although I bought him for Hugh and they are great mates, I am the one Toby is beside ALL the time, He is never more than a foot from me. He gives hugs, dances, chooses his own chew treats from the local pet store and will not let me pass the door until he does. Then he proudly carries the stick all the way home (it looks like a cigar sticking out of his mouth), showing it to everyone we pass. I have a neighbor who dog sits when we have to go away and she hates to give him back and is always asking where we're going next. He is an utter doll and he knows it. I wish I could have ten of him but feel very lucky to have our own special one. i won't bother you with updates often but SHaron said you remembered him and I thought you might like to see what a handsome boy he is.
All the best,
Kathryn

Maltchon - Jesse James Hi Mary-Lyn, I just wanted to thank you again for our Maltichon puppy. We named him Jesse James. He was very easy to train with very few "mistakes". He is very easy tempered and a constant source of entertainment keeping us laughing. He never barks or whines when we leave him at home and is always very happy to see us when we return. He gets along great with our other animals and even though he is a lot smaller he doesn't back down when playing. Our other dog MOlly has taken on a protective role over him and it is so cute to watch. I've included some updated pictures of him at 3 1/2 months old, but they don't even do him justice he is too cute for words. Thanks again for arranging the transportation to Fort McMurray!! Could not ask for a better puppy!!! Thanks!!! Angela MacDonald |

Maltichon - Zoey Hi Lyn Susan here...Steffany sent the photos earlier this morning. Zoey has had a busy summer. We took her camping in the Maritimes for two weeks, and she was digging holes to China in the PEI sand. She went to Muskoka, Brampton and Sault Ste marie on her next summer adventure. She learned to dog paddle in Lake Huron, but she hated the salt water out east..... maybe because it was 12 degrees the first time she tried it. She is very intelligent, loving and gentle with children. Whenever she is on a walk , and a toddler comes along, she sits to be petted. We love her dearly and everyoneraves about her! She loves to watch Kevin's soccer games and the players love her! Talk about unconditional love! We hope all your puppies are selling and wish you a success in your business! Maltichon - Jake 2012
Hi Marilyn and ML; Just wanted to send you a little note and let you know that we are all doing fine. Jake has settled in quite well and Charlie seems to be tolerating him. We still have not been successful getting a pictures of the two of them together. Our biggest challenge is feeding time. Charlie has developped quite the taste for puppy food and Jake likes it best when Charlie carries the food in his mouth and then puts it on the floor for him to eat. The other day Charlie was eating and Jake was under his belly and had Charlie's two back legs up in the air trying to eat from the same bowl at the same time. They made me laugh. They chase each other around in the morning and night and Jake cries when Charlie can't be seen. Charlie goes to Jake's crate in the morning to wait for him to come outand you can hear Jake's tail wagging against the side as soon as your feet touch the stairs. The attached picture reminds us of exactly what Charlie looked like when he was a puppy. We go to the vets next Thursday for our next round of shots so that will be interesting to see how they both do together. We will be in touch with some better pictures soon. Thanks again for everything Belinda |
