Welcome to Kawartha Country Kennel    Specializing in Poodle Mix Puppies   About us   Kawartha Country Kennel Is located  just north of Peterborough on a beautiful 150 acre farm.  Being dog lovers our whole lives, has made owning and operating this business, not only a full time job but a hobby as well.  Working with different breeds of dogs for the past 15 years and breeding dogs for the past 7 years has really given us the knowledge and experience to assist you, our customers in finding that perfect new addition to your family. Our first and foremost priority is with our Breeding Program.  All of our adult dogs have been hand picked to insure top quality in this area.  Our parent dogs have excellent dispositions, wonderful temperaments and great personalities, as well as a very positive health history.  It is with the utmost confidence that we can assure you that your puppy will be a loving member of your family for many years to come.   By following strict Kennel Guidelines we have designed and built our Kennel with our dogs' comfort in mind.  Maintaining a clean, healthy and happy environment for our dogs at all times is very, very important to us.  Keeping in close contact with our local Vet and his staff and following their precise instructions has also been a tremendous asset to the health and well being of our dogs and their puppies. All of our puppies come to your home with a complete Vet health check, which includes first shots, de-worming, flea prevention and a  2 Year Hereditary Guarantee.  We also put together a special  'care package'  to get you started with your new family addition. This package includes a leash, collar, a soft blanket and chew toy, as well as some puppy food and an information package on your puppy's first few days and nights, and also grooming tips. We want you to know that when you buy a puppy from Kawartha Country Kennel you are now part of the family!!.

Our  Kennel and Puppy Room

 Our newly renovated "Puppy Room" is attached right to our house and has our dogs utmost comfort in mind. With a large window, heating and air conditioned, our puppies can enjoy all the seasons in comfort with a view!  We welcome visits to the kennel at any time for our future customers and our previous customers.  This way you can meet us as well as the parents of your potential puppy. The parents of our puppies enjoy the fresh air outside in large outdoor runs, with the choice to come inside where it's warm at anytime ( or cool in the summer ). Designing this Kennel has been fun and time consuming as we are constantly changing things around to better suit our "Mom's" and "Dad's" needs and their babies.  Our adult dogs get to enjoy runs in the summer through the 150 acres and the occasional swim in the pond (small lake).  They keep us busy!

Our  Kennel Facility

We are very pleased to announce that in the spring we will have video cameras and monitors for you to see every aspect of our Kennel better, when you come to visit!  Not only can you meet our puppies and our parents right now, but we will have a camera so you can see our moms in the comfort of their nesting boxes with their newborn "babies",  and our outside runs and inside parents pens!!   We are very excited about this, as we know there are a lot of scary places that may or may not let you see their facility, and this will answer your questions and will alleviate the fear of something being brought into our innermost kennel.  We are very, very careful in protecting the health of our dogs. Unknown to a lot of our clients, is the fact that sometimes without our knowledge, things such as fleas, parasites or other germs can be picked up unawares on clothing or footwear.  Parking lots, parks or other places can also be a dangerous breeding ground for germs or viruses.  Although our adults (parents) are up to date on all of their vaccines, our new born babies are not until they are 7 weeks of age.  This being said, the safety of our new "babies", the safety of our "parents", and our kennel, is of highest importance to us.  These new cameras will insure your confidence and peace of mind when you come to visit us or purchase a puppy from us.

Delivery Option

Busy Schedules keep everyone on the go these days, so to accommodate our customers we also offer delivery.  We will personally deliver our puppies to their new homes and have been doing so for several years.  We would be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have.
