Schnoodles are a wonderful, mid-sized, non shedding and non allergenic breed. This designer breed is a first generation mix of a pure bred Miniature Poodle and a pure bred Miniature Schnauzer. Taking the best of both these breeds and combining them, you get a pup that is independent, intelligent and has an excellent disposition, eager to learn and obedient. This breed is also very perceptive. Their intelligent and eager to please nature, makes them, with the right training and discipline, wonderful pets. The Schnoodle mixes the intellect of the Poodle, with the companionship and devotion of the Schnauzer. They are very smart animals and enjoy having the opportunity to use their intelligence by learning tricks and playing games.

Schnoodles have a life span of 15-20 years and like most mixed breeds do not have the genetic health problems that some pure bred breeds do. This breed is an excellent watch dog and a very loyal family pet. Schnoodles can be very affectionate and because of their boundless energy can keep up with a very busy family life style. The Schnoodles are great with children, however can sometimes not have the patience that is shown more in the Shih-Tzu/ Bichon cross or Cockapoo. This breed is more reccomended for families that have children ages 5 and up. They come in colors such as Black, Black and Tan, Blonde, Brindle, Salt and Pepper, White etc. In choosing the Schnoodle breed we ALWAYS recommend obedience training to get you started on the right track |

A little history on the Poodle and the Schnauzer -
Poodles are known as retrievers or gun dogs and are still used till this day by hunters. This breed was standardized in France where it was used as a water retriever. Poodles have a curly, non shedding coat and do not have that thick double coat that many breeds have and their fur is often called "hair". Most poodles are a solid black, white, apricot, cream, grey, silver, parti-colored and red. Poodles can come in a variety of sizes as well. They are known as a hypoallergenic breed. The poodle has indvidual hair follicles and they have an active growth period that is longer than that of many other breeds. The tightly curled coat which slows the loss of dander and dead hair, traps it in their curls. Regular bathing and brushing keeps them looking at their best. As well this can control the potent allergen "saliva" which some ( very few ) can have a reaction to even if they are not allergic to the breed. |

Schnauzer - The Miniature Schnauzer originated in Germany in the mid-to-late 19th century. This breed is very popular and well known for its temperament and size. They come in a variety of colors such as black, salt and pepper and black and silver as well as white. Miniature Schnauzers are said to be non shedding. This is not entirely true but their shedding is very minimal and not noticeable. This breed is very alert, not missing much and very spirited, obedient, friendly and intelligent. Like any pure bred breed they can suffer from health issues such as hip dysplasia and others.

He is a little bit smaller than the others in his litter so I would say will be closer to 15 lbs full grown. He has a very soft and fluffy coat, loves to snuggle already and is eating hard food. He comes with first shots, deworming and flea prevention done! Ready to go now!!
